Location & Parking
My office is located in the Huron Professional Building at 708 W. Huron St., Suite 4, Ann Arbor, MI 48103. The building's parking lot is for multiple offices. Parking for my office in the rear and on the east side of the building (the side closest to downtown Ann Arbor).
The 708 entrance is on the west side of the building. The building has two waiting areas with chairs (at the base of the stairs, and at the top of the stairs). My office is on the second floor, down the hallway to the right and then a short left.
If my door is open feel free to come in, but if closed you are welcome to send an email or call to let me know you have arrived. Even without notification I will come out to the waiting areas as soon as I am able.
Confidentiality
The general principles that apply to all psychotherapy apply to our work together. This includes keeping everything that happens as part of therapy confidential, within the limits of the law. I follow the regulations and guidelines established by HIPAA and AAMFT.
Service Parameters
I am not able to provide emergency services and do not have an on-call emergency phone service. I do have some flexibility in scheduling sessions around more pressing issues, however I can only do so based on my availability. Additionally, my ability to receive voicemails and respond is dependent on my schedule during working hours, as I do not receive calls during session and when not in the office. If you are experiencing an emergency call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
I am also not able to prescribe medications, as I do not hold a medical degree. I can help you identify ways to receive medication if that is seen as helpful. I can then continue to act as a primary therapist while you maintain ongoing intermittent supervision from a psychiatrist or other medical physician.
